Privacy Policy — Military Fitness Score

Effective date: June 30, 2026

Last updated: June 30, 2026

Military Fitness Score ("the app," "we," "our") is developed by Zach Hicks. This

policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have. We

designed the app to keep your data on your own devices.

Summary

- No account, no sign-up. You can use the app without creating an account or giving us any

contact information.

- No tracking, no ads, no analytics. The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics

or tracking SDKs, and no advertising identifiers (IDFA).

- No developer servers. We do not operate any server that receives your data. The app makes no

network calls to us.

- Your data stays with you. Everything you enter is stored locally on your device. Optional

syncing uses your own iCloud account and your paired Apple Watch — not us.

Information the app stores

You may enter and the app stores the following on your device:

- Profile information: an optional name, service branch, sex, date of birth (used to compute your

age), and body measurements (height, weight, and waist) used to calculate fitness scores such as

the Air Force waist-to-height ratio. You also set display preferences (e.g. units).

- Test results and history: the raw performance values you enter (reps, run/row times, plank

time, etc.), the calculated scores, dates, and any notes you add.

- Goals and training plans: target scores and planning information you create.

- Notification settings: if you enable test-preparation reminders, the app schedules local

notifications on your device.

Because some of this is fitness- and health-related information, we treat it as sensitive and never

transmit it to us.

Unit Fitness Program Manager (UFPM) mode

If you enable the optional UFPM mode, you can import CSV files that other members have exported

and shared with you, in order to track your unit's results. That imported information is stored only

on your device. You are responsible for handling other people's data appropriately and in accordance

with your organization's policies. You can delete imported members or clear the roster at any time

within the app.

How information is used

The app uses the information you enter solely to:

- calculate and display official military fitness scores,

- show your history, trends, personal records, and progress,

- help you plan toward a target score and (optionally) remind you about an upcoming test, and

- generate result sheets (PDF/CSV) when you choose to export or share them.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing.

iCloud sync (optional, Apple-provided)

If iCloud is enabled on your device, the app uses Apple's iCloud key-value storage to sync your

profile, history, and training plan across your own Apple devices, and WatchConnectivity to keep

your paired Apple Watch in sync. This data travels through Apple's iCloud infrastructure under your

Apple ID and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). We

have no access to your iCloud data. If you do not want this, you can disable iCloud for the app in

iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.

Sharing and exporting

Any sharing is initiated by you. When you tap a share or export button, the app generates a PDF or

CSV and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet, where you choose the destination (Messages, Mail,

Files, etc.). Where that content goes from there is determined by you and the service you select.

Siri and App Intents

The app can expose your latest score to Siri/Shortcuts on your device so you can ask for it. This

runs on-device through Apple's App Intents framework.

Data retention and deletion

Your data remains until you delete it. You can delete individual history entries, clear data, or

remove the app. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data from that device. To remove data

synced via iCloud, delete it within the app (deletions sync to your other devices) and/or manage the

app's iCloud data in iOS Settings.

Security

Data is stored using the operating system's standard app storage and protected by your device's

security (passcode/biometrics and, where applicable, encryption). iCloud sync is secured by Apple.

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but because we do not collect your data on any

server, there is no central database of users to breach.

Children's privacy

The app is intended for use by service members and fitness-test candidates and is not directed to

children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices and rights

Because your information lives on your device (and your iCloud), you control it directly: view, edit,

export, or delete it at any time within the app or your device settings. Depending on where you live,

you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; since we do not collect or process

your data on our servers, the practical way to exercise these rights is through the on-device controls

described above. You may also contact us with questions.

Third-party services

The app does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services. The only

external service involved is Apple iCloud, used at your option for syncing, as described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the

"Last updated" date above and posting the revised policy at the same URL.
